ABOUT EXETER EN PEASANTS

Since January 2023, the Exeter En Peasants have operated on Chess.com, with founder Adam Curry  (DoYouLikeCurry) and his talented team of admins guaranteeing a safe and enjoyable online chess experience for players of any age. The club, still in its infancy, boasts 20 active members, ranging in experience and ability. Everyone is welcome, though we maintain a vigilant anti-cheater community by vetting candidates.

Our name originates from the chess move en passant, which regularly trips up beginner players and has become something of a joke thanks to the online chess community.

Several club members represent our club at ECF tournaments. Recently, two members attended the East Devon Chess Congress, scoring 1.5/4 and 2.5/5.

The Exeter En Peasants Open tournament was hotly contested, and we are hoping to repeat its success soon! Members of the Exeter En Peasants are invited to compete in weekly tournaments, online vote chess, and have access to our members only Instagram group chat.
